Using colour palettes in Corel Graphics Suite 9.x up
In Corel PHOTO-PAINT you can access the same colour selection window by first opening a new or existing 24-bit colour image, and then double-clicking on one of the current colours in the horizontal bottom bar. As described above, docking window, rollup window and permanent colour palette are accessible also in Corel PHOTO-PAINT 8.x.
Corel DREAM 3D and Corel DEPTH do not allow use
of colour files, as they do not support user-defined colour palettes.
Application in other Corel products
In Corel Photo-Paint as in CorelDRAW-Rollup you can establish the tone with a double click on "paint" the active colour for retouching (fill bucket, paintbrush). With "load view/palettes" you likewise arrive at a "docking window" for quick palatte selection and with "view/ defined colours" you can permanently affix the colours on the border of the screen.
CorelDREAM 3D and CorelDEPTH do not permit the use of colour files as they do not support user defined colour palettes.
Turn off Corel-colour management!
In order to achieve a correct colour representation of the colours in the Corel products the Corel-colour management needs to be shut off.
CorelDRAW 11.0: A company name is
designed with RAL-colours.
The colour is taken from the RAL-palette located at the right border of the screen.
