Colour palettes in Vectorworks 2008

Vectorworks improved the work with colour palettes fundamentally in Version 2008. The previous detour via gradient definition was revised and the work with several palettes in one project is possible now.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant the CMYK palettes (artprint, offset printing uncoated and coated paper) were defined in RGB. To achieve this the black component was substituted by respective negative RGB values (standard formula).


Usage of colour palettes in VectorWorks 2008

After the installation the colours are available in the chosen output optimized form in VectorWorks:

  1. Open a new or an existing file in Vectorworks.
  2. Click the palette manager button in the attributes palette
  3. In the palette manager you can activate your desired palette(s).
  4. Create your projects with your colour palette!
